Hot Item on eBay - Pooper Scooper Barbie
I kid you not. I’ve heard through the grapevine that Pooper Scooper Barbie and her accessories are a hot seller on eBay. Barbie comes with her dog, Tanner, dog biscuits, bowl, trash can, and a magnetic “scooper” to clean up after her pooch. At first glance, this toy looks pretty ridiculous, but maybe this is a way to teach kids that if they have a pet, there are responsibilities that come with it.
Pooper Scooper Barbie was actually recalled on August 14, 2007 due to the dangers of her magnetic poop-pick-up stick. The Consumer Product Safety Commission calls this item the “Barbie and Tanner Playset.”
Apparently, Pooper Scooper Barbie is hot with international buyers. This Barbie was released about 2 years ago, and I wonder if international buyers are just learning of her existence. My gut tells me that this is just another Barbie collectible - the theme is irrelevant, maybe she is just being added to shelves of collectors as a helper for Veterinarian Barbie?

I guess it’s good to see Barbie being responsible - they’ve come a long way from Ballerina Barbie.
